Birdie is the Whippet that started it all! Dawn fell in love with Birdie at 9 months of age after watching her at a local dog show. She was beyond thrilled when she learned that Birdie was available! Birdie came home to live with us just a short time after our first meeting. Birdie finished her championship that summer at the prestigious Waukesha Kennel Club shows under esteemed judge, Ed Jenner, shown by Debbie. Upon completion of her bench title, Birdie began lure coursing and was the 2003 recipient of the Patrick Pettit award for being the highest scoring bench champion and field champion. Birdie also earned a placement at the 2001 ASFA International Invitational in the field champion stake. Now retired, Birdie still goes into "Whippet World" and runs around the house with toys and tries to play tug of war with Bill. Birdie produced one litter in 2002 and is now spayed.
